Additional shopping and dining options are available in nearby villages throughout the Upper Sava Valley. Despite its proximity to all essential services, the chalet retains a strong sense of privacy, tranquillity and close connection to nature. The location is also an excellent base for exploring other well-known natural attractions in Slovenia’s wider alpine region, including areas of Triglav National Park as well as destinations such as Bled, Bohinj and the Soča Valley with Bovec and Kobarid.

The Julian Alps

For nature lovers, Kranjska Gora is an ideal starting point for exploring the Julian Alps. The boundary of Triglav National Park is only about 50 metres from the property, allowing guests to set off on foot directly from the house.

The surrounding area offers beautiful easy walking paths, such as the Krnica Valley, as well as less demanding mountain peaks including Vitranc (1,637 m) and Ciprnik (1,745 m), which rewards hikers with stunning views over the Tamar Valley and the Planica ski jumping hills. The Vršič Pass (1,666 m), with its scenic mountain road and breathtaking alpine views, serves as a gateway to a wide range of hikes, from easy walks to demanding high-mountain ascents.

The chalet is also an excellent base for cycling enthusiasts, both mountain and road cyclists. Highlights include the legendary climb to the Vršič Pass and leisurely rides along the long-distance D-2 cycling route, which runs from Jesenice towards Italy, passing through Tarvisio and continuing to Pontebba.

The Upper Sava Valley is rich in natural beauty and landmarks, including the Radovna, Vrata and Tamar valleys, Peričnik Waterfall, Martuljek Waterfalls, Nadiža Waterfall, the Zelenci Nature Reserve, and numerous hiking routes such as the Alpe Adria Trail and the Juliana Trail.
